Why we built TradeVault on Algorand.
We evaluated every major blockchain before committing. Algorand won on speed, fees, native USDC support, and atomic safety — the four things that matter most for peer-to-peer trade at any scale.
Instant Finality in Under 4 Seconds
Bitcoin takes 60+ minutes for finality; Ethereum averages 12 seconds with only probabilistic guarantees. Algorand settles every transaction with absolute mathematical certainty in under 4 seconds — every single time. The moment a buyer clicks Confirm Receipt, the USDC lands in the seller's wallet in the same block. No waiting, no re-orgs, no uncertainty.
Near-Zero Transaction Fees
Cross-border bank wires cost $15–$50 and take 3–5 business days. PayPal cross-border fees reach 4–5% of the transaction value. On Algorand, every smart contract call, USDC transfer, and atomic group execution costs exactly 0.001 ALGO — a fraction of a cent. TradeVault escrows with multiple inner transactions cost under $0.003 in total. We pass every saving to you.
Native USDC — Zero Bridge Risk
USDC on TradeVault is not bridged, wrapped, or synthetic. It is a natively issued Algorand Standard Asset (ASA ID: 10458941) created directly by Circle, the same company that issues USD Coin on Ethereum. No cross-chain bridges means zero bridge-hack risk, zero slippage, and guaranteed 1:1 USD stability for every escrow — protecting both buyer and seller from crypto volatility.
Auditable AVM Smart Contracts
TradeVault's escrow logic runs as pure TEAL bytecode on the Algorand Virtual Machine (AVM). Every state transition — PROPOSED → ACCEPTED → FUNDED → DELIVERED → COMPLETED — is an on-chain event auditable by anyone on Algorand Explorer. There are no admin keys, no owner backdoors, and no human who can override the contract's logic once deployed. Math enforces the rules.
Atomic Transaction Groups
Algorand's atomic group feature is the backbone of TradeVault's secure funding flow. When a buyer funds a deal, three transactions are bundled atomically: their signed acceptance, a contract state update, and the USDC transfer to escrow. All three succeed together or none execute at all — making partial-execution exploits, front-running attacks, and race conditions mathematically impossible.
Carbon-Negative & Truly Borderless
Algorand runs on Pure Proof-of-Stake (PPoS), consuming a negligible fraction of the energy used by Proof-of-Work chains like Bitcoin. It is certified carbon-negative through its partnership with ClimateTrade. More importantly, Algorand has no geographic restrictions — a seller in Lagos, a buyer in Toronto, and an arbitrator in Singapore can complete a fully on-chain deal with no bank account, no KYC, and no intermediary.
